Customs procedures

Are you planning to enter a yacht or aircraft contract in the EU or UK? Then it’s important to be fully versed in how the Customs and VAT systems are governed.

These procedures determine where duties and taxes apply as well as their collection.

For example, the movement of goods and services across borders can be free if certain conditions are met. However, yacht and aircraft imports from non-EU countries must be cleared by Customs. This is whether you need to pay import charges or not. Excisable goods like fuel and alcohol are also subject to requirements and certain goods may be prohibited or restricted.
